Conditions Required
for Application of Guarantee
To obtain performance of any obligation under this
guarantee, the Purchaser must purchase a concrete masonry unit foundation built
per CPMBC, Inc. recommendations and must further utilize:
- Materials, which include concrete masonry units,
cement for mortar, Conproco foundation coating and reinforcement bar,
supplied by a CPMBC, Inc. member in good standing for use in the
foundation. (The Purchaser must retain all receipts for materials
purchased or have other credible proof of the purchase by the builder or
mason contractor).
- At a minimum a four-inch ID drain system, one
inch below the top of the footer on the outside wall adjacent to the
footer and drain to daylight or pump.
- A cove foundation coating at the base of the
wall where it contacts the footer.
- A minimum of two, one-half inch reinforcing bars
properly placed in the footer.
- In wet or boggy conditions, at a minimum, a four
inch ID drain system, one inch below the top of the footer on the inside
of the wall adjacent to the footer drained to the pump at one-half inch
per 10 foot drop.
- A minimum of four inches of clean 2B stones
under the floor slab.
- Conproco foundation coating applied per
manufacture’s recommendation to the outside walls above and below grade.
- A minimum of two feet of clean 2B stone above
and eight inches to the side of the outside footer drain .
- A suitable, clean backfill no rocks over six
inch diameter, or clay or construction debris.
- Adequate gutters and downspouts to divert rain
water and other water run off.
- Water from the downspouts must be diverted at a
minimum 10 feet from the foundation.
- Final grade must be pitched away from the
residential foundation a reasonable distance at a on half inch drop for
every 12 inches of grade.
